The
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators




The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators is a centre of excellence for the global promotion, facilitation and development of all forms of dispute resolution. It is capable of operating in virtually every business and commercial sector. The Institute is a not for profit U.K. registered charity working in the public interest through an international network of more than 30 Branches and Chapters, including the North American Branch. Founded in 1915, the Institute today has members in over 100 countries. The Royal Charter of the Institute charges it with setting and maintaining standards, and educating and advising its members and the public on private dispute resolution. The Institute provides education and training for arbitrators, mediators and adjudicators and acts as an international resource for practitioners, policy makers, academics and businessmen interested in cost-effective, early dispute resolution. The Institute provides users with the confidence that its members have a globally recognized, assured level of training and experience.
